Personnel Training Requirements: Provide information available from the <br />manufacturers to use in training designated personnel to operate and maintain <br />the equipment and systems properly. <br />4. Testing Equipment and Special Tool Information: Provide information on test <br />equipment required to perform specified tests and on special tools needed for <br />the operation, maintenance, and repair of components. <br />1.03 TRANSMITTAL PROCEDURE: <br />A. Unless otherwise specified, O&M manuals, information, and data shall be transmitted <br />in accordance with SECTION 01300. Only complete sets of O&M instructions will be <br />reviewed for acceptance. <br />B. Three copies of the specified O&M information shall be provided. For ease of <br />identification, each manufacturer's brochure and manual shall be appropriately <br />labeled with the equipment name and equipment numbers it appears in the project <br />manual. The information shall be organized in the binders in numerical order by the <br />equipment numbers assigned in the project manual. The binders shall be provided <br />with a table of contents and tab sheets to permit easy location of desired information. <br />Binders shall be 3-inch, D-ring, presentation type with locking mechanism and clear <br />view vinyl cover for insertion of graphic identifying contents of binder. <br />C. If manufacturers' standard brochures and manuals are used to describe O&M <br />procedures, such brochures and manuals shall be modified to reflect only the model <br />or series of equipment used on this project. Extraneous material shall be crossed <br />out neatly or otherwise annotated or eliminated. <br />1.04 PAYMENT: <br />A. Acceptable O&M information for the project must be delivered to the Engineer prior <br />to the project being 85 percent complete. Progress payments for work in excess of <br />85 percent completion may be reduced until the specified acceptable O&M <br />information has been delivered to the Engineer. <br />1.05 FIELD CHANGES: <br />A. Following the acceptable installation and operation of an equipment item, the item's <br />instructions and procedures shall be modified and supplemented by the Contractor to <br />reflect any field changes or information requiring field date. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br />
