<br /> ® This project was a unique partnership between the City of Miami Gardens, City of Opa-
<br /> ® Locka and Miami-Dade County. These entities worked together to transform a rather Project Manager
<br /> ® bleak stretch of six-lane divided highway into a beautiful green corridor with Michael Conner,ASLA, RLA
<br /> landscaped medians, enhanced frontage road swales, and brick pavers.The scope of this
<br /> ® project was daunting. Starting at the Miami-Dade county line (with Broward County) Team Members
<br /> ® and traveling south for nearly six miles to N.W. 127th Street, the project passes by
<br /> Dolphins Stadium, Calder Race Track, residential neighborhoods, several large shopping Robert Roush,PE
<br /> ® areas, and finally through the heart of Opa-Locka's business core. The total project cost Sabrina Baglieri
<br /> 0 was nearly 2.5 million dollars and came from five different funding sources. One of Construction Cost
<br /> ® those funding sources was a Florida Highway Beautification Council grant from 2005-
<br /> 06. Construction on the project began in October 2006, and the northern portion from $1,400,000.00
<br /> 0 the Palmetto Expressway to Dolphins Stadium was completed in time for the Super
<br /> ® Bowl in early February, 2007. The remainder of the project was completed by Firm's Fee
<br /> ® November, 2007. $60,000
