For mid-sized transit systems,she participated in <br /> 411/ <br /> the Almon,Ohio,and Knoxville,Tenn.,Transit Development Plans. In addition,she <br /> managed the Indianapolis IndyGo—Indianapolis Public Schools(IPS)Transportation <br /> ® Study,a project that resulted in a development of methodology for a pilot test that would <br /> allow IPS students to use IndyGo buses as their means of transportation to and from <br /> ® school,replacing yellow bus service. <br /> ® Ms.Townsend also does a great deal of work in the area of transportation and transit- <br /> related surveys. She has managed several Title VI surveys for the Detroit Department of <br /> 0 Transportation;conducted an onboard survey for Madison Metro in Wisconsin;provided <br /> supervision for the SEMCOG Onboard Survey,Detroit;and,participated in several of the <br /> ® surveys associated with the Southeast Florida Regional Transportation Characteristics <br /> ® Study. She has also done on/off counts as part of the Indianapolis Transit Survey;the <br /> KAT 2010 Action Plan,Knoxville,Tenn;and,the Detroit Department of Transportation <br /> ® Passenger Counts.
