The construction contracts averaged S200-5250 million per year. <br /> ® Mr. Perez de Morales's duties and responsibilities included overall contract <br /> administration on the District work program, including progress and final payment to <br /> ® consultant and contractors_ review, negotiation and approval of requests for change <br /> orders; and claim analysis on settlement of disputed issues. Monitoring cost and time on <br /> ® all contracts to ensure that cost/time overruns remained within state target. <br /> ® Making recommendations to the District Director of Production on the most effective <br /> ® method of contracting (i.e. Cost and Time, Lane Rental, Incentive/Dis—Incentive). <br /> Recommendations were based on project location and type of contract. (i.e. <br /> ® Reconstruction, milling and resurfacing).Providing liaison with other governmental <br /> ® agencies and local municipalities in the coordination of joint project agreements. <br /> Coordinating interdistrict activities with all operations (Traffic Operations. Maintenance) <br /> ® and production (Design. Right—of--Way. Utilities) functions through the applicable <br /> ® Department heads. <br /> 1986-1996: Assistant District Construction Engineer, FDOT District 4 <br /> Responsible for providing support to the District Construction Engineer for the <br /> management of the Construction Program. Serve as a reviewer to all claims, time <br /> ® extensions,and interpretation of specifications. <br /> ® Responsible for the supervision of all Consultant Construction Engineer Inspection(CEI) <br /> ® contracts within the District. The scope of responsibilities included over 10 Consultant <br /> ® Agreements with fees of approximately $15 million and 14 construction contracts in <br /> excess of$100 million. <br /> ® 1984-1986: Assistant Resident Engineer, FDOT District 4 <br /> ® Responsible for the supervision of all construction projects in Broward County. The <br /> ® scope of responsibility included the supervision of 18 project engineers and <br /> approximately 30 construction contracts in excess of$175 million.
