CHARLIE T. MEDINA
O . Page 2
Engineering Support; Soil Inversion, SFWMD—Performed field oversight
during the chlordane soil inversion activities at the Southern Golden Gates Es-
tates in Collier County. Florida. Prepared the GIS mapping data for the chlor-
dane sampling areas and areas to be inverted. Worked closely with principal
engineers in the field. Contributed in the preparation of the soil inversion re-
port by providing GIS and AutoCAD figures.
Engineering Support; C-9 and C-11, SFWMD—Developed the GIS map-
, ping data for the soil sampling location in Broward County. Florida. Per-
formed field soil sampling for selenium. Contributed to the preparation of the
soil sampling report by providing GIS and AutoCAD figures.
' Engineering Support; L-6 Canal,SFWMD—Provided the GIS mapping da-
ta for the canal sediment sampling in Palm Beach County, Florida. Contribut-
ed in the preparation of the sediment sampling report by providing GIS and
AutoCAD figures.
Task Engineer; Remediation System, Petroleum Products Corporation—
Performed regular operation and maintenance (O&M) and system optimization
of the water treatment system and bioslurper system of the largest Superfund site
in South Florida. The major components of water treatment system consisted of
chemical reaction tank. diffused air flotation, bag filters. activated carbon tanks,
chemical tanks. centrifugal pumps. and chemical dosing pumps. The bioslurper
system consisted of two 25-horsepower liquid ring pumps. oil-water separator.
air-liquid separator. centrifugal pump. progressive cavity pump. and diaphragm
pumps. Prepared technical reports.
Task Manager; First Coast Energy—Provided field oversight and documen-
tation during underground storage tank (UST) upgrades. spill bucket replace-
ment. piping replacement. and source removal. on various Shell Stations locat-
ed in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Florida. Performed OVA readings
and collected soil and water samples for laboratory analysis. Prepared tank
closure reports.
Engineering Support; US Sugar Acquisition, Professional Services Indus-
tries/SFWMD—Performed Phase I environmental risk assessment on the US
Sugar Clewiston Mill and Bryant Mill. Worked closely with the principal en-
gineer to identify areas of concern and prepared GIS maps. AutoCAD figures,
tremble programming. and technical reporting assistance.
' Environmental Technician; Multiple Clients—Field work tasks include
sampling groundwater monitoring wells according to FDEP quality assur-
ance/quality control (QA/QC)protocols and performing groundwater elevation
measurements, elevation surveys. and abandonment of monitoring wells ac-
cording to SFWMD protocols. Oversee the drilling and installation of
groundwater monitoring wells to evaluate onsite contaminant plumes. Respon-
sibilities include real-time measurement with the use of an organic vapor ana-
lyzer equipped with a flame ionization detector (OVA/FID) and split spoon
sampling for projects located in Miami-Dade. Broward. Palm Beach. and Sar-
asota Counties. Florida.
1
I
blriurrnenszl Consulthg 6 Tech',0UgK Inc P1Pwu1.YA\OcCT'OF SUNNY IS LISNTFNDICYSRF_SUMFS SUNYISIS.DOC-04)012
