1
1
Channel survey data were pooled and used to develop stream channel design criteria describing
channel plan, profile, and dimension. Methods for creating pool and large woody debris habitat
were prescribed. The frequency and dimensions of pools and large woody debris were based on
actual field observations. Streambank construction techniques were also prescribed. Floodplain
8 corridor and vegetation establishment were described in the context of overall reclamation goals
and requirements for the site.
Hydraulic modeling was also performed to determine mean annual, 25-year, and 100-year flood-
plains for pre- (existing) and post- (projected) mining conditions. A large monitoring program
(17 stations) was established to determine baseline water quality for the site. ECT's ecologists
delineated wetlands, performed endangered species surveys, and assisted in identifying and
mapping all vegetation communities on the site. ECT's GIS group developed GIS-linked data-
bases of all ecological attributes and prepared maps.
1
I
1
1
1
1
1
1
1
I
I
CV/ PROJECT PROFILEia
?Ct..
w
Y:IFIPDISCIPL,'EIWATEMPROFLLFSFLMOSAIC-STR,nrcL DOC-030912
