<br /> which serves as the gateway to Miami International Airport. The design included hardscape,
<br /> ® A.A,University of Florida, landscape, irrigation and lighting design, specifications, and construction inspection.
<br /> ® 2001 BISCAYNE BOULEVARD PROJECT,MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL: Keith and Schnars
<br /> ® landscape architects approached the design for the Biscayne Boulevard project to reflect the
<br /> PROFESSIONAL distinctive urban street character of the existing stores,businesses,and mixed-use residential.
<br /> • CERTIFICATIONS As desired by the City of Miami and the FDOT District 6, the stately and historic existing
<br /> ® LEED Green Associate Royal Palms were preserved. They were supplemented with the addition of large Live Oaks
<br /> that provide shade creating a linear plaza corridor. Sidewalk widths were increased to
<br /> ® PROFESSIONAL enhance the plaza concept. Under the trees and palms, large planted and irrigated spaces
<br /> ® AFFILIATIONS of shrubs and ground covers were designed in a "ribbon” pattern. Emphasis was on low
<br /> American Society of maintenance, native and flowering plants; sod areas were eliminated. Additionally, conduit

<br /> Designer responsible for landscape enhancements along the corridor. The project included
<br /> • 6 million dollars of landscape enhancements along 8 miles of SR 826 through Miami-Dade
<br /> • County to improve the aesthetic character of the corridor, reduce maintenance,and enhance
<br /> the interchanges.
<br /> ® SR-9A/I-95, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL: Lead Landscape Designer responsible
<br /> ® for landscape enhancements along the corridor. The project included 8 million dollars of
<br /> ® landscape enhancement along 10.5 miles of 1-95 through Miami-Dade County to improve the
<br /> aesthetic character of the corridor, reduce maintenance, enhance interchanges and mitigate
<br /> • the sound walls.
<br /> 1 SR-7, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL: Hardscape layout and planting concepts for
<br /> ® intersections intended to be used as a template for urban renewal.
<br /> ® NE 33RD AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT. FORT LAUDERDALE,
<br /> ® FL: Neighborhood streetscape and traffic calming project - decorative paver intersections,
<br /> ® landscaping at key intersections, a new pedestrian walkway, decorative street signage,
<br /> entrance signage and irrigation.
