May 1,2012
COASTAL City of Sunny Isles Beach
Request for Qualifications
/'l Continuing Professional Architectural &
Engineering Services Firms Only(CCNA)
® SSYSSSSS RFQ No.: 12-04-02
Page 27
EDUCATION ANDRES PEREZ, P.E.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineer
Florida International University,Miami,
Florida. 2001
Mr. Perez has over 10 years of civil engineering experience in
LICENSURE Florida. He has completed the planning, design and construction
Professional Engineer,a administration for site/civil projects including parks, streetscape,
and Right-of-Way. He has also completed designs for private site
developments such as hotels, condominiums, parking lots/garages,
commercial properties and dry stack marinas. These projects have
required the design of stormwater management systems consisting
of retention areas, drainage wells, exfiltration trenches, and outfalls.
These projects have also required the design of water and sanitary
sewer services.
His site/civil design experience in Florida includes the permitting of
projects through agencies such as the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection (DEP), South Florida Water Management
District, and Florida Department of Transportation. He has
processed stormwater management designs through these agencies
to obtain Environmental Resource Permits (ERP), and he has
demonstrated experience with projects adjacent to the coast and/or
waterfront. These projects have required extensive coordination
® with diverse project teams to design projects that meet the
development programming goals for both public and private sector
clients, but that also meet the stringent regulatory permitting criteria
to manage surface water runoff.
Mr. Perez completes his civil engineering design projects utilizing
advanced software tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. This software
facilitates the design of earthworks, dredging, roadway, pedestrian
path, and coastal dune projects. Digital Terrain Models (DTM) are
created for the calculations of earthworks. The design is completed
within the AutoCAD system for efficient production of construction
plans with quantity estimates.
Mr. Perez has completed the planning and design of international
heavy civil works projects in the Caribbean and in Central America.
These projects have included water distribution design on remote
islands with reverse osmosis water treatments package plants, as
well as sanitary sewer collection systems integrated with sewage
treatment package plants. The water distribution and sewage
collection systems have required the estimation of utility loads
based on the development programming and the numerical
modeling of the systems to confirm the design requirements. The
modeling optimizes the pipe sizes and pump/station requirements
based on the site geometry and topography.
41111
Mr. Perez has completed utilities designs for private island cruise
Corporate Office 464 South Dixie Highway•Coral Gabb.Florida 33146•Tel: 35661-3655•Fax:335661-1914
Regional Office. 2047 Visu Parkway,Suite I_13 Wen Palm Rach.'Florida 33411•Tel:56164SI_C3•Fax:561640-ICC9
w w.cosstalinimiint.com.infotaouuhntmaivcrom
