<br /> Moscow Institute of Power environmental engineering, quality control, and design and project management. His varied
<br /> Engineering career includes work as a mechanical engineer, nuclear engineer, civil engineer, environmental
<br /> Registrations/Licenses engineer, and associate professor where he taught courses in nuclear power plants and the
<br /> Professional Engineer construction and assembly of nuclear power plants. He has extensive knowledge of Florida
<br /> (Mechanical): Building codes and other design codes including the National Fire Protection Association (NEPA);
<br /> Florida, 53829, 1999 American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers(ASHRAE); and
<br /> American Society of Mechanical Engineers(ASME). As group manager with Atkins, Mr. Calante
<br /> Certifications is responsible for the management and/or production of mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP)-
<br /> Leadership in Energy andelated projects.
<br /> Environmental Design Mr. Calante's project experience with Atkins includes:

<br /> +Construction(LEED AP Calante served as mechanical engineer performing code-related plan reviews and inspection
<br /> BD+C), U.S. Green Building services for various projects for all MDC campuses. Assignments have included the renovation
<br /> Council (USGBC), 2008 of the gymnasium at the North Campus, Building 400, that consisted of reviewing the Phase III
<br /> documents and performing inspections based on FBC; and plan reviews and code-inspection
<br /> National Council of Examiners services for the SET and BURN buildings at the North Campus. Total construction cost for the
<br /> for Engineering and Surveying aforementioned projects was more than $50 million.

<br /> Wolfson Campus Building 9000, MDC, Culinary Art Building, Miami, FL. Mr. Calante
<br /> was project coordinator of all disciplines(MEP and fire alarm/fire protection)for a new 8-story,
<br /> 35,000-sf building. This urban infill building incorporates offices and classrooms, teaching labs,
<br /> TV production studio, and a commercial restaurant. Work performed included the plumbing
<br /> and fire protection engineer-of-record. All systems were coordinated to pursue LEED-New
<br /> Construction(NC)Gold certification.
<br /> White Sands Missile Range D-B of Company Operations Facilities (COF), White Sands,
<br /> NM. Under a D-B MATOC contract, Atkins is providing D-B planning and programming, A-E
<br /> design, site design, building and interior design, construction documents, and construction
<br /> administration for a new, full-service, $15 million, single-story, 54,700-sf Company Operations
<br /> Facility(COF). Design and construction will achieve LEED Silver certification, and the project is
<br /> being executed under a highly compressed schedule—the Atkins team is providing three design
<br /> packages over three months within a total D-B fast-track schedule of 16 months. Mr. Calante
<br /> was responsible for supporting mechanical engineering for the D-B construction of the COF in
<br /> accordance with ASHRAE Standard 90.1, USGBC LEED version 2.2, and EPAct 2005, including
<br /> engineering/design reviewing/performance of heating/cooling load calculations.
<br /> Before joining Atkins, Mr. Calante's work history included:
<br /> Wolfson Campus Building 5000, Design of New Chiller and Electrical Generator,
<br /> Miami-Dade County (MDC), Miami, FL. Mr. Calante served as project designer and project
<br /> coordinator. The scope of work entailed installation of a new generator and chiller to facilitate
<br /> load shedding with Florida Power and Light.
<br /> Wolfson Campus New World School of the Arts, Building 5000 Lobby Remodeling
<br /> and Mechanical Design, MDC, Miami, FL. As MEP Engineer, Mr. Calante was responsible
<br /> for the project coordination of all disciplines (MEP and fire alarm/fire protection)for this project.
<br /> Scope of work included the demolition of existing lobby/entry space and the remodeling and
<br /> expansion of new entry and lobby space. Project entailed the modifications to the existing MEP
<br /> infrastructure as well as the existing smoke evacuation systems.
