<br /> David Haight has 38 years of experience in the planning, design, and permitting of a wide
<br /> B.A., Studio Art, Photography, range of commercial, office, and residential sites and subdivisions, and the planning and design
<br /> Florida State University, 1983 of community infrastructure, including roadways, bicycle/pedestrian and parking facilities,
<br /> Certifications stormwater management facilities, sanitary sewer and potable water systems, and with
<br /> American Institute of construction management for projects.
<br /> Certified Planners(AICP) He has worked with land owners, developers, real estate brokers, national and local franchises,
<br /> and institutional development managers for many years, assisting with the planning, design,
<br /> Professional Affiliations analysis, and permitting of major projects, including Florida Developments of Regional Impact
<br /> American Planning (DRI), planned unit developments (PUD), and master planned communities. He has specialized
<br /> Association (APA) experience with development negotiations, zoning and comprehensive planning review and
<br /> Member, American Institute representation, eminent domain issues, transportation planning, and state and local regulatory
<br /> of Certified Planners(AICP) review processes. Formerly a project manager and office manager with another planning and
<br /> e engineering consulting firm and development entities, Mr. Haight also provides experience
<br /> Leadership Tallahassee Class in project design and development management, contract administration, and construction
<br /> XVII management.
<br /> Mr. Haight's project experience includes:
<br /> West Bay Sector Plan, Bay County, Florida. During the conceptual planning process, Mr.
<br /> Haight assisted the planning team with negotiations, public presentations and workshops,
<br /> and the visioning process for a 75,000-acre sector plan. Mr. Haight developed the original
<br /> conceptual master plan for the sector, with advisory assistance from county staff, county
<br /> stakeholders, and advocates. He also developed the development guiding principles and
<br /> assisted the county planning department and the clients with the development of the Sector
<br /> goals, objectives, and policies that were later adopted into the Bay County Comprehensive Plan.
<br /> Pier Park, Panama City Beach, FL. Mr. Haight served as project manager for production of an
<br /> application for annexation, comprehensive plan amendment, and rezoning for Pier Park for the
<br /> St. Joe Company, and for the PUD rezoning applications for both WaterColor and WaterSound
<br /> in Walton County for St. Joe/Arvida.
<br /> Conceptual Urban Design and Streetscape Planning for Pensacola Main Street. The
<br /> project centers around a road diet, reducing travel lanes and incorporating bicycle lanes,wide
<br /> sidewalks, intersection pedestrian plazas, street trees and lighting in a regularly spaced pattern
<br /> to enhance pedestrian use and enjoyment. The project will serve as the "front door" to the
<br /> new Community Maritime Park within the downtown redevelopment area.
<br /> Florida Department of Transportation, District 3. Twenty-five transportation enhancement
<br /> projects ranging from bicycle lanes and sidewalk improvements, stormwater management and
<br /> enhancement, a rail-trail conversion, a historic railroad station enhancement, and landscape
<br /> projects along major state highways.
<br /> South Walton Master Plan Study, Walton County, FL. Mr. Haight served as project
<br /> mangaer for the 10,000-acre South Walton Master Plan Study: U.S. 331 to Mack Bayou Road
<br /> for Walton County. The study included conceptual master plans for two town centers; options
<br /> for new proposed zoning and land development regulations within the sector; interconnection
<br /> of existing and proposed roadways as alternative routes to U.S. 98; methods to protect
<br /> roadway capacity on U.S. 98 and U.S. 331 through access management; and, provisions that
<br /> discourage linear sprawl along those corridors.
