•
• Adam Kerr, P.E.
• Relevant Experience cont.
• Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Continuing Minor Civil Engineering (Multiple Projects), FL— Kimley-Horn is
• providing a variety of services for FAU at its multiple Florida campuses. Provided traffic engineering services for
• the FAU Boca Raton Campus Broward Avenue and Volusia Street Traffic Signal project in Boca Raton. The project
• involved design of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Broward Avenue and Volusia Street on the FAU Boca
Raton Campus.
® Transportation Element, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Greenacres, FL— Served as project engineer. KHA
performed the update to the Transportation Element for the City of Greenacres Comprehensive Plan. KHA used the
• WPBUSA FSUTMS planning model to forecast future traffic conditions in order to determine future roadway levels
• of service. The WPBUSA FSUTMS planning model was modified to determine the short- and long-range needs
for the City roadway network and identify mitigation measures. KHA also provided direction to the City regarding
its designation of future motorized and non-motorized traffic circulation systems with the improvement to those
• existing systems throughout the City of Greenacres.
• SR 7 Corridor Master Plan, Palm Beach County, FL— Developed a long-range plan to guide future growth
® and redevelopment along a corridor which was operating at over-capacity conditions at its ultimate width. The
• document outlined measures to improve mobility along the corridor through optimized transit service, car-pooling
programs, and promotion of mixed-use development and redevelopment. The planning process was coordinated
• with Palm Beach County, the Village of Wellington, the Village of Royal Palm Beach, the City of Greenacres, and
• individual land owners along the corridor.
• US 1 Corridor Modification Study, Delray Beach, FL— Prepared an analysis of conditions prior to and after
• a lane reduction on a major corridor through Delray Beach. Aspects of the study included traffic volumes at
intersections and generally along the corridor, speeds, and accident data. The corridor study was part of a larger
®
project which analyzed the qualitative effects of decreased number of travel lanes, increased sidewalk width, and
• increased landscaping. The project involved extensive public coordination with the City of Delray Beach, FDOT, and
• the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Association.
• Florida Research Park Traffic Analysis, Palm Beach County, FL— Developed in-depth development of regional
• impact level traffic analysis to determine the impacts of the Scripps Research Institute at Florida Research Park.
The project involved a comprehensive review and analysis of long-term traffic patterns in the northwestern portion
• of Palm Beach County and southern Martin County. Provided extensive FSUTMS modeling support as part of the
• analysis. Coordinated the analysis and results with FDOT, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and Palm
® Beach County.
• SR 7/Pioneer Road Signal, Royal Palm Beach, FL—Served as project manager. Kimley-Horn designed a traffic
® signal at the intersection of SR 7 and Pioneer Road in Royal Palm Beach. The mast-arm design included a dual-
arm design, with one of the arms spanning a six-lane approach to the intersection. The design required special
• consideration for drainage and topography. Construction had to be coordinated with the widening of SR 7, as well
• as the widening of Pioneer Road.
• Roebuck Road, SR 7 to Jog Road, West Palm Beach, FL—Served as signal designer. Kimley-Horn provided
• drainage analysis and design, signing and pavement marking, and signal plans. We were also responsible for
environmental permitting services
®
Traffic Concurrency Management Database and Report, Miami Lakes, FL— Created and maintained a database
to inventory the existing and allowable traffic within the Town of Miami Lakes. Assisted in developing a methodology
• for determining traffic concurrency in the Town.
• Various Traffic Signal Designs, Palm Beach County, FL— Prepared plan sets and opinions of probable cost for
• several private sector developers. Coordinated the structural analysis, geotechnical analysis, and the permit and
• approval processes. Designs were on major thoroughfares and required agency approval from FDOT, Palm Beach
County, municipalities, and various utility companies.
• RFO No.12-04-02 Ian Kimley-Horn
• 0Y30mis 12o Sunny Isles A&E Series rcwmesindd \I and Accnciates.Inc
3-9
