II. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Task 1 Engineering <br /> Subtask E.34 Pre-construction Services <br /> CONSULTANT shall provide limited pre-construction services to include: <br /> • Attend pre-construction meeting with selected Contractor as coordinated by CITY. <br /> • Provide technical review of Contractor's shop drawings and product data for conformance with <br /> approved construction documents. <br /> CONSULTANT's fee shall be based on a Time and Materials basis, Not to Exceed $5,000.00 <br /> Subtask E.35 Inspection Services <br /> CONSULTANT shall provide full time inspection services as the Engineer of Record to provide certification <br /> that the project is constructed in conformance with approved bid document. The project is expected to have a <br /> 13 month duration. It has been assumed that the CITY inspector will also be on site for 8 hours a day for <br /> inspection. Inspections by CITY will assist the CONSULTANT's daily efforts to the extent necessary for <br /> certification. <br /> Services are estimated at 8 hours per day, five days a week throughout an assumed construction period of <br /> only 13 months and include the following: <br /> • On-site observation of the work in progress to confirm construction in compliance with approved <br /> permit and plans. Report to CITY non-conforming issues which would impact certification. <br /> • Observe on-site testing as needed. <br /> CONSULTANT's fee shall be based on a Time and Materials basis, Not to Exceed $201,600.00 <br /> Subtask E.36 Construction Progress Meetings <br /> CONSULTANT shall conduct a weekly meeting with the contractor and CITY representative as the Engineer <br /> of Record to discuss construction progress, quality of various aspects of contractor's work, and discuss and <br /> resolve construction issues. For the proposed duration of the project, it has been anticipated that the <br /> construction duration for this project is 13 months.
