City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> Water Supply Plan Update <br /> First Reading January 21,2016 <br /> Adoption Hearing April 21,2016 <br /> minimum lots of 7,500 sq ft <br /> Multi-family residential: semi-professional 1,500 <br /> offices <br /> Hospitals and schools 2,000 <br /> Businesses 3,000 <br /> c) Water quality shall meet all Federal, State, and County primary <br /> standards for water supply. <br /> 3.4 Water Supply Distribution Provided by the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> The City of Sunny Isles Beach does not provide or distribute potable water to the City's <br /> residents or businesses. The City of North Miami Beach services the entire City. For <br /> informational purposes, there are no areas of domestic self-supply within the City of <br /> Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> 3.5 North Miami Beach Utility Water System <br /> NMB Utility is a sub-regional water and wastewater utility that furnishes potable water <br /> service for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial customers in northeast <br /> Miami-Dade County. The Authority's service area, which covers approximately 25 square <br /> miles, consists of certain unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County, and the <br /> incorporated areas of the Cities of Aventura, Miami Gardens, and Sunny Isles Beach and <br /> Town of Golden Beach. The NMB Utility owns, operates, and maintains both separate <br /> and interconnected potable systems to meet regional potable water supply needs. <br /> The Utility has eight interconnection sites with MDWASD which provide for pressure <br /> sustaining valves (PSV's), emergency connections, and/or control valves (CV's) that can <br /> be used to add water into the storage tanks at the Norwood-Oeffler Water Treatment <br /> Plant or Operations Center. Additional information concerning the North Miami Beach <br /> Utility Water Facilities are incorporated by reference of the City of North Miami Beach 10- <br /> Year Water Supply Facilities Work Plan dated June 15, 2015. A summation of the NMB <br /> Utility list of Capital Improvements may also be found in this report in Section 5.0 <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS Table 3. <br /> The information contained in the Miami-Dade County Comprehensive Development <br /> Master Plan Amendments adopted February 4, 2015 and the Miami-Dade WASD 20-year <br /> Water Supply Facilities Work Plan (2014-2033) Support Data (November 2014) and, the <br /> 2013 Lower East Coast Water Supply Plan Update (LEC) approved by the South Florida <br /> Water Management District (SFWMD) on October 10, 2013 are herein incorporated by <br /> reference. <br /> 12 <br />
