Russo,City Manager <br /> FROM: Susan Simpson,Cultural and Community Services <br /> Director <br /> DATE: 4/21/2016 <br /> RE: In-Kind Donation to the Israeli Consulate for the Annual <br /> Israeli Independence Day Event <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> This item is presented for your consideration. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The Israeli Consulate hosts an annual Israeli Independence Day event at <br /> Haulover Park each May.This year's event will be on May 15,2016 and will <br /> include a motorcycle parade.a boat parade.an internationally recognized <br /> band and other activities.As the City has a Sister City relationship with <br /> Netanva,Israel.Sunny Isles Beach has supported this event with in-kind <br /> services in the past.The event producers are requesting the use of <br /> following City resources again this year: Police support for the Boat Parade. <br /> Police support for the Motorcycle parade.use of the large generator and a <br /> small generator as well as the personnel to load in and out and operate it <br /> during the event.
