BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />Chen Moore and Associates provided design, permitting and <br />construction engineering inspection services for the conversion of <br />an existing football field and multi-purpose field into one Babe Ruth <br />Baseball field, one Little League Baseball field, and one practice <br />baseball field for the City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation <br />Department. The project is located in Westside Park, which is a 15- <br />acre park located south of Hillsboro Boulevard, offering two lighted <br />basketball courts, a football field with concession stand, two lighted <br />tennis courts, a full service recreation center, full size gym, picnic <br />areas and a newly renovated playground. CMA was responsible for <br />providing survey, geotechnical, site planning, civil engineering, <br />landscape architecture, MEP and structural engineering services. <br />The scope of the project included the layout of the baseball fields <br />with supporting services such as lighting, dugouts, scoreboards <br />and irrigation. The project also included general improvements to <br />the park around the baseball fields including better pedestrian <br /> <br />access, ADA parking and sidewalk improvements, native <br />landscaping, outdoor seating areas and stormwater improvements. <br />The project is located in an underserved community of Deerfield <br />Beach and provides access to improved parks and recreation <br />services for the community.
