Russo, City Manager
City of Sunny Isles Beach
18070 Collins Avenue
Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160
Dear Mr. Russo:
Jamaicans Abroad Helping Jamaicans At Home ("JAHJAH") Foundation is a NJ-based nonprofit
organization, also registered in Jamaica, WT. Our primary goal is to help improve the quality of
healthcare that is delivered at public hospitals and health centers in Jamaica. We are also
committed to assisting with improving education in Jamaica. As our name suggests, we are about
partnerships with Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica overseas to execute our mission on the ground
in Jamaica.
The JAHJAH Foundation donates medical supplies and equipment to public hospitals and
healthcare centers in Jamaica. We also share information and technology with healthcare
professionals in Jamaica's public hospitals and health centers. Best practice and proficiencies that
are taught to our members who are healthcare professionals in the US, Canada, and the UK are
shared with healthcare professionals in the public sector in Jamaica. Our 'Mission for Change'
involves annual projects and short-term projects.
Donations are of great help for those we help. JAHJAH Foundation is requesting defibrillators
that we can distribute to the various facilities throughout Jamaica. The defibrillator, used to revive
patients with a heart condition, is a much-needed equipment in the schools across the island. Plans
for training in the equipment's use are also being scheduled.
Attached is information about the foundation and a copy of the Foundation's 501c3.
