Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Elka Linton-Dorsett, Capital Projects Manager <br /> DATE: 5/19/2016 <br /> Awarding Bid No 16-04-01 to Southern Underground <br /> RE: Industries for 172nd St Drainage Improvements and <br /> Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate and Enter Into <br /> an Agreement <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached <br /> resolution. <br /> REASONS: <br /> Included in the adopted City Capital Improvement Plan is a project for <br /> construction of drainage improvements to 172nd St. In general, <br /> improvements include drainage repairs and limited roadway <br /> milling/resurfacing. <br /> The City publicly advertised the project and received one (1) <br /> construction bid. Staff thoroughly reviewed the bid, their letters of <br /> recommendation and previous track record, and determined Southern <br /> Underground Industries, a responsible and responsive bidder. <br /> FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> Funding has been appropriated in account No 300-5-5410-465000- <br /> 82002 <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> 537 <br />
