(OHS) is pleased to present our submittal for your
Request for Qualifications - RFQ-16-06-01-0-2016/mb. We are very proud of the
team we have assembled. The team consists of ohs as the local prime and McKim &
Creed as our subconsultant.
OHS is a local miami based sbe certified survey, coastal engineering and permitting
firm whose principals have surveyed the beaches of miami beach including sunny isles
for the last 19 years. We specialize in shoreline investigations with specific expertise in
beach re -nourishment and the mitigation of storm damage. Rather than utilize minimally
trained survey equipment operators in the field to maximize profits, all OHS' beach
survey teams are led by a professional coastal engineer with a master's degree. This
added expertise includes successful FEMA funding projects with the Village of Key
Biscayne and Town of Hillsboro/ City of Deerfield Beach. We also have a dedicated
coastal permitting department with in house legal counsel.
OHS offers all of the benefits in dealing with a small firm — accessible owners that
attend all meetings, negligible overhead so tax $ value is maximized, and the constant
drive to perform and succeed. By continuing a strategic partnership with Mckim &
Creed, the most well respected and largest national survey and engineering firm in the
country, OHS is able to offer the personalized service only a small firm can provide and
McKim and Creed are able to bring to the table virtually unlimited field crews if ever
needed and hands down the most cutting edge survey technology in use today. After
Hurricane Sandy, McKim & Creed's use of aerial LIDAR and multibeam sonar for
coastal mapping just won the ACEC/ NC grand award for engineering excellence in
surveying and mapping technology!.
Our specific shoreline mapping and analysis experience both locally, nationally and
internationally assures our clients of a professional, punctual and accurate service.
