PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE /INVOCATION <br /> Action: Marie Napolitano led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, and Rabbi Yisrael Baron <br /> gave the invocation. <br /> Mayor Scholl gave opening remarks of decorum. <br /> 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 3A. Regular City Commission Meeting—April 21, 2016. <br /> Action:Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve <br /> the above mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice vote of <br /> 5-0 in favor. <br /> 4. ORDER OF BUSINESS (Additions/Deletions/Amendments) <br /> 4A. Request to Hear Items. <br /> 5. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br /> 5A. A Special Presentation to Javier Egana Fernandez for his Heroic Ocean Rescue of a <br /> Young Woman Drowning Near Newport Pier. <br /> Action: Chief Fred Maas said two (2) days ago two (2) rabbis passed away as a result of <br /> being caught in riptides in Haulover. He finds it extremely ironic that tonight we are doing a <br /> presentation to an individual who had a life-saving outcome in a similar situation. He <br /> presented a video that occurred on May 5,2016 just before sunset on the Newport Pier. The <br />
