<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 16-06-02 9 <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br />SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF SOLICITATION <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida (City) a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, <br />seeks to retain the services of landscape architect firm pursuant to Florida Statute Section 287.055, <br />Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act. The City intends to retain one or more qualified firms to <br />provide such services on an as-needed basis through continuing contracts. <br /> <br />2.2 CONTRACT TERM AND RENEWALS <br /> <br />The initial contract term shall be one year. The City, at its sole option, may renew the contract for <br />four (4) one-year renewal terms. <br /> <br />2.3 METHOD OF AWARD <br /> <br />Award shall be made in accordance with Section 1.31 of the General Terms and Conditions and <br />other requirements of this RFQ, including Florida Statute Section 287.055, Consultants’ Competitive <br />Negotiation Act. <br /> <br />2.4 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION <br /> <br />To be eligible to respond to this RFQ, Firms must meet all of the following minimum <br />qualification at the time when responses are due: <br /> <br />2.4.1 Firm shall possess a State of Florida Registered Landscaping Architect license; <br />and Certificate of Authorization for Landscape Architecture Business (Florida <br />Statutes Chapter 481). <br /> <br />2.4.2 Firm shall be properly registered and in compliance with the State of Florida in <br />addition to being licensed and registered with the Department of Business and <br />Professional Regulation to practice their profession in the State of Florida. <br /> <br />2.4.3 Firm must have a minimum of five (5) years municipal experience in landscape <br />architecture. Provide a list of not less than three (3), nor more than seven (7) <br />municipal projects for which the Firm has been directly involved. <br /> <br />2.4.4 Be able to provide references for at least three (3) business clients and/or <br />governmental agencies to which it is currently providing, or has provided <br />services in Florida within the last five years. Only one reference may be used <br />for projects completed for the City. <br />
