Page 3-9
LPPL36016.16-O Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architect Services.indd
THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH
SERVICES
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
planning, Kimley-Horn also provided civil engineering, roadway design, and stormwater retrofitting services
for this project. With these in-house capabilities, the design team was able to produce high-quality 30 percent
construction drawings for the City within the anticipated timeframe.
Building on these efforts, the firm also worked with the City of Miami to prepare design guidelines for the entire
corridor that establishes a set of standards for properties and segments of the Miami River Greenway. These
guidelines will ensure that as sections of the greenway and adjacent properties are developed over time, a
consistent theme will be maintained that is unique to the character of the Miami River Greenway.
References
2.4.4 Be able to provide references for at least three (3) business clients and/or governmental
agencies to which it is currently providing, or has provided services in Florida within the last five
years. Only one reference may be used for projects completed for the City.
Kimley-Horn is nationally recognized for the outstanding work of our consulting staff and are proud of the work
we have provided for Florida counties, municipalities, government agencies, and other entities throughout the
state. The true measure of our work, however, is whether our clients would select us for another project. Our
most valued asset is our ability to maintain lasting relationships with our individual clients and we gauge our
success by the longevity of these respected partnerships.
We are proud of the relationships we have developed with our clients, and much of our success over the last
four decades is directly related to our efforts to perform high quality, timely services for all of our clients. Our
commitment to project excellence is reflected in the fact that approximately 80 percent of our services are for
repeat clients—proof of our dedication to quality for every task, deliverable, and service provided by the firm.
We invite you to contact our references; these individuals will tell you that we listened to their needs, met their
schedules, accomplished their missions, and delivered results.
City of Sunny Isles Beach
Project: Heritage Park and Parking Garage
Scope of Work: Landscape architecture
Contact: Susan Simpson, Cultural and Community Services Director
18115 North Bay Road
Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160
305-792-1706
ssimpson@sibfl.net
City of Miami
Project: City of Miami Miscellaneous Landscape Architecture Services
Scope of Work: Landscape architectural and civil engineering services
Contact: Maria Pineda (former Senior Project Manager for Vertical Group, City of Miami Capital Improvements
and Transportation Program)
Currently Serves as Assistant Director, Public Works and Engineering Department, City of Homestead
100 Civic Court
Homestead, FL 33030
305-224-4770
mpineda@cityofhomestead.com
