The main features of the park include the Expo Lawn, Regatta Lawn, Tropical <br />Gardens, Promenade, Multi-use Path Connector, Tree Alee and Children’s Play Area. Kimley <br />Horn was tasked with the landscape architectural and civil engineering design of the park <br />from concept through construction administration. <br />City of Miami Coral Way Medians, Miami, FL — Serving as landscape architecture analyst <br />for the conceptual plans, exhibits, and construction drawings of the landscape improvements <br />within 2.5 miles of existing Coral Way medians between SW 12th Avenue and SW 37th <br />Avenue. Key to the design is the preservation of the existing historic Banyan Trees and the <br />integration of proposed shrubs and groundcovers around them in order to create an iconic <br />look for this important roadway within Miami Dade County. <br />South Miami Intermodal Transportation Plan (ITP), South Miami, FL — Serving as <br />landscape architecture analyst on the Kimley-Horn team that prepared the South Miami <br />Intermodal Transportation Plan (SMITP). The City of South Miami desires to enhance the <br />existing transportation system and mobility choices available to residents, workers, and visitors <br />to the City. An integral component of this effort is to establish and implement the SMITP, which <br />identifies an interconnected network of mobility and safety improvements based on smart <br />growth and complete streets principles. <br />Miami Worldcenter, Miami, FL — Serving as landscape architecture analyst on the Kimley- <br />Horn team. Kimley-Horn partnered with a private developer, the City of Miami, the Miami <br />Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and other stakeholders in preparing typical sections <br />for streetscapes for the City’s largest proposed downtown project. Kimley-Horn also partnered <br />with numerous utility companies to determine existing underground conditions. Once this <br />information was obtained, we worked with multiple stakeholders to develop and evaluate <br />various streetscape options for roads and avenues within the multi-block project limits. <br />North Bay Village Baywalk Plaza Area Design, North Bay Village, FL — Served as <br />landscape architecture analyst for the Kimley-Horn team - As prime consultant, Kimley- <br />Horn and Associates Inc. provided North Bay Village with landscape architecture and civil <br />engineering services for the site improvements to separate plaza areas and connector <br />boardwalk under the east bridge along JFK Causeway. Services include the design of <br />landscape architectural components including hardscape, landscape, site furniture, site <br />lighting and irrigation from concept through construction. Part of the design elements of the <br />project includes an iconic “sail structure” to serve as a focal point. <br />Design Place, Miami, FL — Served as a Landscape analyst for this project to provide a site <br />design and design vision package. Design Place is centrally located within minutes of South <br />Beach, Brickell and Coconut Grove. Avoid Miami’s commute hassles by being just blocks away <br />of the Julia Tuttle Causeway and I-95. The new improvements will include residence, retail and <br />hospitality areas.
