BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />Kimley-Horn prepared the conceptual plan of a 22-acre park located on the southwest corner of NW 97th Avenue and <br />the future NW 77th Terrace in Doral, Florida. The park contains both active and passive recreational activities arranged <br />around a large proposed lake with recreated wetlands and a 6,000-square-foot multi-purpose building and Nature <br />Center with a large viewing terrace. All of the active sports such as multi-use fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, <br />and playground are located toward the western portion of the park, while the passive activities such as the kayak <br />launch, walking/exercise trails, picnic shelters, wetland boardwalk, fishing pier, and educational boardwalk are located <br />toward the eastern portion of the site surrounding the lake. Support facilities such as a maintenance building, on-street <br />parking, and surface parking lot are also part of the plan. <br /> <br />This park, which will be surrounded by future single-family residential communities, will provide a much needed <br />additional recreational destination for the City of Doral. <br /> <br /> <br />25.
