Subconsultants <br />Kimley-Horn maintains a focus on selecting subconsultants who share common <br />values. These common values include accountability, leadership, teamwork, open- <br />mindedness, flexibility, creativity, innovation, honesty, and fairness. These common <br />values have formed the basis of strong partnerships over the past 49 years. <br />Kimley-Horn emphasizes the value of building structured working relationships to <br />obtain the greatest combination of skills and professionalism to offer dependable, <br />quality service to our clients. For this contract, we have identified several local <br />subconsultants with whom we have a close affiliation and successful performance <br />history to provide additional support in the areas outside of our service lines. Our <br />specialty subconsultants add further depth to our abilities and the opportunity to <br />meet the City’s M/WBE requirements. <br />Manuel G. Vera & Associates Inc. (MGV) <br />Manuel G. Vera & Associates Inc. (MGV) is qualified as DBE, SB, and MBE. <br />Their main office is located in Miami-Dade County, their Central Florida office is <br />located in Orange County and another in Jupiter Florida. MGV was established <br />in Miami-Dade County in 1973, since then survey is what they have specialized <br />in and is all they do. In their 43 years of existence there hasn’t been a survey <br />task, terrain, or problem we have not seen. MGV is a unique firm in that it has the capability and technology of <br />our competitors but our principles are patterned by a family business with a service oriented and sound quality <br />control ideology. This ideology is the reason MGV has been awarded District Wide Miscellaneous Survey and <br />Right of Way Mapping Contracts for the Florida Department of Transportation for more than 35 years and why <br />they support as SubConsultants hundreds of Engineering and Construction firms throughout the State of Florida. <br />In addition to their Florida Department of Transportation experience, their firm has been and is currently providing <br />Miscellaneous Survey and Right of Way Mapping Services to a number of Cities, Counties and Municipalities <br />throughout South Florida as well as State and Federal Agencies such as South Florida Water Management <br />District, South Florida Rail Transit Agency, All Aboard Florida, FEMA, Miami Dade County, MDT just to name a <br />few and countless of private engineering clients providing survey support for miscellaneous engineering Design <br />and Design Built Projects. As part of their Miami-Dade Expressway (MDX) GEC Survey Contract, MGV has been <br />and is currently providing and coordinating all survey and right of way services for MDX roadways. <br />Manuel G. Vera & Associates Inc. is dedicated and committed to providing excellent service and complete client <br />satisfaction. MGV has a highly-trained staff of professional surveyors and associates with extensive experience <br />in a wide range of surveying and mapping services. Their staff is the foundation of their firm, they employ a staff <br />of over 30 skilled survey personnel; of which 6 are registered PSM’s which combined have over a century and <br />a half of survey experience, 6 Survey Technicians and 7 fully staffed and equipped crews. MGV key personnel <br />range from 10 years to more than 30 years of experience in surveying and more importantly with their firm. MGV <br />has been providing in-house consulting staff to the Florida Department of Transportation for more than 10 years. <br />Their in-house support reviews incoming consultant design surveys, prepares fieldwork and processes the <br />FDOT field crew data collection for internal design projects, establishes survey criteria, attends project meetings <br />and various training sessions to stay abreast of FDOT software and changing technologies. As a result, their <br />knowledge of FDOT Survey requirements, methodologies, work flow and standards is second to none. <br />MGV has the ability to perform all survey tasks using either traditional methodologies such as EFB data <br />collection, Electronic Total Stations/levels, hydrographic [sonar/GPS], GPS/RTK, and the latest in 3D Lidar <br />Static Scanning.
