BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost)
Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. was the Landscape Architectural sub-consultant for the landscape architectural
design of five important greenways and/or trails in Broward County. These were the C-14 Canal/Cypress Creek
Greenway, New River/SR 84 Greenway, Flamingo Road Trail, Dixie Highway/FEC Trail and the Griffin/Orange Drive
Greenway. These greenways and trails comprise approximately 70 miles of a unique greenway system for Broward
County. Since these greenways cross numerous municipalities' boundaries, road rights -of-ways and portions are to
be constructed with the SFWMD canal rights-of-way, the approval and permitting of these greenways is ongoing
and extensive. The landscape design for all the greenways heavily utilized drought -tolerant, native plant material
and was in conformance with the Broward County Naturescape principles and the SFWMD Xeriscape guide lines.
The design provides a naturalistic setting that provides shade and excitement along these corridors.

CONSTRUCTION COST:
Cypress Creek: $3,600,000.00
Dixie Highway: $8,600,000.00
Flamingo/Hiatus: $3,200,000.00
New River/SR 84: $5,300,000.00

25.
