<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 16-08-01 10 <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br />SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF BID: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking bids from qualified bidders to provide EVENT RELATED <br />EQUIPMENT RENTAL on an as-needed basis for the City in accordance with the terms, conditions, <br />and specifications contained in this ITB. This includes, but is not limited to: tents, tables, chairs, <br />fans, flooring, staging, restrooms, and other event related accessories. Services are inclusive of <br />materials and labor. <br /> <br />2.2 PRE-BID CONFERENCE: <br /> <br />A Pre-Bid Conference will not be scheduled for this ITB. <br /> <br />2.3 CONTRACT TERM AND RENEWALS <br /> <br />The contract will commence on the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval of the <br />contract by the City Commission, or designee, unless otherwise stipulated in the Notice of Award <br />letter, which is distributed by the City’s Purchasing Agent; and is contingent upon the completion <br />and submittal of all required proposal documents. This contract shall remain in effect for three <br />(3) years, provided that the services rendered by the proposer during the contract period are <br />satisfactory. <br /> <br />2.4 RATE AND RATE ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />If the proposer is awarded a contract under this solicitation, the discounts and rates proposed by <br />the proposer shall remain fixed for the term of the contract. <br /> <br />2.5 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR AWARD <br /> <br />Award of this contract will be made to the responsive and responsible vendor who meets the <br />minimum qualifications set forth in this solicitation. Those qualifications are as follows: <br /> Must show proof that they conduct background checks on all employees <br /> Provide a minimum of three (3) references in which similar goods and/or services have been <br />provided within the last two (2) years including scope of work, contact names, addresses, <br />telephone numbers, and dates of service. A contact person shall be someone who has <br />personal knowledge of the contractor’s performance for the specific requirement listed. <br /> Provide a list and description of all equipment including, but not limited to, tents, tables, <br />chairs, fans, flooring, staging, restrooms, and other event related accessories, that will be <br />available to complete work as outlined in the Scope of Work.
