Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Claudia Hasbun, Planning and Zoning Administrator <br /> DATE: 7/21/2016 <br /> Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Master <br /> RE: Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement for the <br /> Citywide installation of sidewalk decorative pavers. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission approve this Resolution. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City has been upgrading sidewalks from concrete to decorative <br /> pavers and every time that a section of sidewalks is up for a permit with <br /> FDOT, the state agency requires an agreement of maintenance for that <br /> section. Since the goal of the City is to upgrade most of its sidewalk, <br /> Staff has been working with FDOT and are presenting a Master <br /> Agreement that covers State roads AlA and 826 (Collins Ave and <br /> Sunny Isles Beach Blvd, respectively) authorizing the City Manager to <br /> enter and execute such agremments with FDOT.
