<br />Budget and Finance Committee <br /> <br />The mission of the Budget and Finance Committee is to work with the City Manager to develop <br />information and make recommendations to the City Commission on the following areas, which <br />areas may be supplemented over time: <br /> <br />· Develop revenue projections for a one, five and ten year period, <br /> <br />· Develop data on basic expenditures to provide services versus discretionary <br />expenditures. <br /> <br />· Develop infonnation on available grants and other governmental assistance and <br />methods of obtaining same. <br /> <br />· Work with Manager to develop Budget for submission to' Commission as required <br />by the Charter. <br /> <br />· Work with Manager to develop and monitor financial controls for expenditures, <br />with review of Income and expenditures between quarterly reports to the City' <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Until such time as a Manager is retained, help develop the Budget which must be submitted to <br />the Commission no later than September 3, 1997 to participate in review of proposed First <br />Budget by Commission and participate in Public Hearings on Budget to be scheduled for <br />September 1997. <br /> <br />MIAMI:F:\DOCS\LMD\ML\64770.1 :8/12/97 (4:28pm) <br />
