<br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THIS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT is entered into between Metropolitan Dade County , <br /> <br /> <br />a political subdivision of the State of Florida (the "County") and the City of Sunny Isles Beach, <br /> <br /> <br />a municipal corporation of the State of Florida (the "City") entered into this day of <br /> <br /> <br />,1997, <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the 16th day of June, 1997, a Charter for the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> <br /> <br />was approved by the citizens of Sunny Isles Beach and the City Commission was sworn into <br /> <br /> <br />office on the 6th day of August, 1997; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission has requested assistance from the County for the <br /> <br /> <br />advance of funds to be utilized by City for the initiation and start-up of municipal ~overnment <br /> <br /> <br />and the performance of initial municipal services; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, County will be collecting certain revenues on behalf of the City and desires <br /> <br /> <br />to provide the assistance requested. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do covenant and agree as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Section 1. Funding Assistance. Within seven (7) days after the date of execution of this <br /> <br /> <br />Agreement, County shall provide to City an advance of funds in the amount of Three Hundred <br /> <br /> <br />Thousand ($300,000) Dollars to be utilized by City for the purposes set forth in Section 2 of this <br /> <br /> <br />Agreement.
