<br />Preview <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br /> <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />The Honorable Mayor and City Commission <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Rick Conner, City Manager <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />5120/2010 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Approval of a contract with Calvin-Giordano for Project Management <br />Services. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />The staff recommends that the Commission approve the Resolution allowing the City to <br />enter into a contract with Calvin-Giordano for Project Manager Services in an amount <br />not to exceed $130,000 per twelve month period. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City is in dire need of a qualified Project Manager and the firm of Calvin-Giordano <br />and Associates has offered two staff members to provide this service, the time divided <br />between them depending on the particular service needed (in the field or in the office). <br />We believe the people they are providing to be very welll qualified and wish to utilize <br />them until a full time staff person can be hired. If these two people exceed expectations, <br />we can simply continue the contract as appropriate. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />The Salary line item for the Public Works Director. <br /> <br />A TT ACHMENTS: <br />.
