<br />." <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-9 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA PROVIDING <br />FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />BEACH ACCOUNTS WITH QUALIFIED PUBLIC <br />DEPOSITORY; PROVIDING FOR A DEPOSIT OF FUNDS; <br />PROVIDING FOR NECESSARY SIGNATORIES ON SUCH <br />ACCOUNTS; PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE OF CHECKS <br />AND PAYMENTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Sunny Isles Beach to establish accounts with <br /> <br />a qualified public depository for the purpose of the deposit and subsequent expenditure of <br /> <br />municipal funds of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, including but not limited to, the initial <br /> <br />expenditures authorized by Section 8.6 of the City Charter. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, that <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to establish accounts with a financial <br /> <br />institution qualified pursuant to Chapter 280, Florida Statutes, to serve as a depository of public <br /> <br />funds. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Mayor and each Commissioner shall serve as authorized signatories <br /> <br />for the accounts established pursuant to Section 1 of this Resolution, provided, however, that <br /> <br />no check or withdrawal shall be issued or made unless signed by both the Mayor or Vice Mayor <br /> <br />and one other Commissioner. <br /> <br />Section 3. That prior to the initial deposit into such accounts, the City shall provide <br /> <br />notice to the State Treasurer as required by Section 280.17 (4), F. S. <br /> <br />Section 4.
