<br />VOTER SOLICITATION OOORMA nON <br />FLORIDA STATUTE 102.031 <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />POLLING PLACE: A polling place is defined as the building which"contains the polling <br />room where ballots are cast. ' <br /> <br />SOLICITATION: Solicitation Includes. but It Is not limited to. seeking or attempting to <br />seek any vote. fact. opinion. or contribution. distributing or attempting to distribute <br />any political or campaign material. leaflet. or handout; conducting a pol~ seeking or <br />attempting to seek a signature on any petition. and selling or attempting to sell any <br />Item. . <br /> <br />~ESTRICTIONS <br /> <br />No person may solicit voters within 50 feet of the entrance to any POLLING PLACE, <br />on the day" of any election. However. If there Is a residence. established business. <br />private prQperty or park within 50 feet of the polling place. and that residence. <br />established business. private property or park Is different from the polling place. <br />voters may be solicited on that property. Voters may also be solicited on public, <br />sidewalks and streets that fall within the 50 feet zone. <br /> <br />,( Example t: A park building Is used as a polling place. and the park property extends <br />100 feet from the front entrance of the polling place. In this case. voter cannot be <br />solicited within 50 feet of the entrance to the polling place. <br /> <br />Example 2: A park building Is used as a polling place and the park property extends <br />25 feet from the front entrance of the polling place. Property belonging to en..., <br />apartment buIlding begins 25 feet from the entrance of the park buIlding.
