RESOLUTION NO.98- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 98-44, <br />ADOPTING A PARKS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH <br />METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, AND SPECIFICALLY <br />DECLINING TO ENTER INTO SUCH AN INTERLOCAL <br />AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") and Miami -Dade County (the <br />"County") negotiated an Interlocal Agreement on November 4, 1997, which will be extended once <br />again on July 21, 1998; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 23, 1998, by Resolution No. 98-44, the City adopted a Resolution <br />adopting a Parks Interlocal Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has reconsidered this matter and declines to enter into that Interlocal <br />for a number of reasons; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That Resolution No. 98-44 be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />Section 2. The City specifically declines to enter into a Parks Interlocal Agreement at this time <br />and transfer of the Permit Agreement by and between the County and the Holiday Inn <br />Newport Pier Resort (the "Permit") is not accept by the City. <br />Section 3.
