Dannheisser <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />City Attorney <br />City Commission pass a resolution authorizing <br />It is recommended that the <br />and expend $6,956.00 in local grant <br />the City manager to apply for, receive <br />funds and to execute agreements to do so. <br />REASONS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department has been given a <br />preliminary approval of grants funds totaling $6,956.00 in order to <br />purchase equipment and community crime prevention tools along with <br />furnish overtime monies for a crime prevention officer to attend and <br />organize crime prevention meetings within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />These meetings will result in citizens of Sunny Isles Beach becoming more <br />familiar with it's police department, react and response to safety hazards, <br />and prepare for hurricane evacuation. <br />Sincerely, <br />Richard Harrison <br />Chief of Police <br />
