<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98- \ \'1-- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING IN CONCEPT THE TERMS TO BE <br />INCLUDED IN A CONTRACT FOR THE SALE AND <br />PURCHASE OF VACANT PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS LOT <br />14, BLOCK 5, OF GOLDEN SHORES OCEAN BOULEVARD <br />ESTATE, SECTION C, PLAT BOOK 51, PAGE 93 OF THE <br />PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />LOCATED AT 201 191st TERRACE, ON THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS PROVIDED IN THE LETTERS OF INTENT <br />SET FORTH AS COMPOSITE EXHIBIT "A"; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DRAFT SUCH <br />A CONTRACT; EXEMPTING PROPERTY FROM <br />APPRAISAL PURSUANT TO SECTION 166.045(B), FLORIDA <br />STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Commission have expressed the desire to create more than <br />several parks for the citizens of the City of Sunny Isles Beach as a matter of "quality of life"; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Mayor have reviewed and analyzed this interior lot <br />in order to create a neighborhood pocket park in this particular location of this City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed price of $85,000 for this particular lot appears to be fair and <br />reasonable and the City Manager does not believe the City needs to proceed with the expense of a <br />certified appraisal; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section I. <br /> <br />Approval in Concept. The purchase ofthe vacant property described as Lot 14, Block <br /> <br />5, of GOLDEN SHORES OCEAN BOULEVARD ESTATES, SECTION C, according to the Plat <br /> <br />thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 51, Page 93 ofthe Public Records of Dade County, Florida, located <br /> <br />at 201 191 sl Terrace, on the terms provided in the letters of intent set forth as composite Exhibit "A" <br /> <br />is hereby approved in concept by the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Direction to Draft Contract. The City Attorney is hereby directed to draft for <br /> <br />Commission approval such a contract and any and all documents to effectuate same on behalf of <br /> <br />201 191" Terrace Res <br />
