<br />3. Franchisee will provide free educational program listings <br />equal to the number of outlets to each connected school. <br />Additional copies of such program listings will be provided, if <br />requested by a school. Such educational program listing will <br />identify and describe programming on franchisee's system that is <br />appropriate for use in the classroom and will provide suggested <br />curriculum support ideas. <br /> <br />4. Franchisee will provide to each connected school materials <br />for teachers that explain the educational applications of franchisee's <br />broadband cable systems and services. The materials will be <br />provided to all connected schools. Additional copies of such <br />materials will be provided, upon request. <br /> <br />5. Within 12 months after franchisee or any parent, affiliate or <br />subsidiary makes an on-line service for personal computers <br />commercially available on a system serving Dade, Broward or Palm <br />Beach Counties, franchisee will, upon request by the City Manager, <br />provide schools within the City with a minimum one free connection <br />per floor to such on-line service. At a minimum, such on-line <br />service will provide unlimited free access to the Internet. <br />Additional cable modems shall be provided by franchisee at <br />franchisee's actual cost or less. Operational support and services <br />(for example, assisting connected schools in setting up and <br />maintaining reliable Internet connections), will be provided to <br />connected schools upon request. In addition, no less than once per <br />year franchisee will conduct or sponsor a training program in the <br />Dade County area to educate teachers about its on-line service and <br />to provide connected schools with an opportunity for hands-on <br />training. <br /> <br />6. Upon request, the municipal building will receive twelve <br />(12) free connections to on-line service. At a minimum, such on- <br />line service will provide free unlimited access to the Internet. <br />Additional cable modems shall be provided at franchisee's actual <br />cost or less. Operational support and services will be provided to <br />the City upon request.
