<br />" <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-2k..O <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO SOUTH FLORIDA <br />SUPPLY INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,768.00, FOR <br />IRRIGATION OF THE COLLINS AVENUE MEDIANS <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, <br />EXECUTE AND DO ALL OTHER THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE A CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 18, 2000, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2000-231, <br />which approved the funding of an interim landscaping plan for Collins A venue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is a need to install an irrigation system prior to implementing the interim <br />landscaping plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach issued a Request For Proposals for irrigating the <br />Collins Avenue medians; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staffhas evaluated the bids received and recommends that the bid be awarded <br />to South Florida Supply Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Award of Bid. South Florida Supply Inc. is hereby awarded a bid for irrigating the <br />Collins A venue medians. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager and/or his designee are hereby <br />authorized to negotiate a contract, in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Six Thousand Seven Hundred <br />Sixty-Eight Dollars ($36,768.00), for the irrigation of Collins Avenue medians/islands. Provided the <br />contract is approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney, and further provided it is <br />subsequently ratified by the City Commission, the City Manager is further authorized to execute the <br />contract and to do all other things necessary to effectuate same. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
