<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 299 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A POLICY TO <br />AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE A $100 CHARITABLE <br />CONTRIBUTION IN THE EVENT OF THE DEATH OF AN EMPLOYEE'S <br />IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER, PURSUANT TO CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH MUNICIPAL CHARTER 97.6; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City of Sunny Isles Beach Municipal Charter 97.6 requires the <br />affirmative votes of four members of the City Commission to approve any charitable <br />contributions; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to <br />establish a policy regarding memorial contributions; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to authorize the City Manager to make <br />a $100 charitable contribution in the event of the death of an employee's immediate <br />family member (parent, spouse, sibling, and/or child). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: <br /> <br />Section 1. A policy is hereby established authorizing the City Manager to make a $100 <br />charitable contribution in the event of the death of an employee's immediate <br />family member (parent, spouse, sibling, and/or child). <br /> <br />Section 2.
