CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PARKS/MEDIANS/RIGHT-OF-WAY MAINTENANCE <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. SCOPE OF WORK <br />Bid No. 01-09-01 <br />Page No. 17 <br />1. The work includes, but may not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, <br />equipment, machinery and services for proper maintenance which for the purposes of this bid, <br />shall include litter, trash and debris removal (including, but not limited to, small items such as <br />paper, cans, bottles, and dead animals), mowing, edging, hedge trimming, selective tree <br />trimming, raking, sweeping, weeding, weedeating, and irrigation system repair. <br />B. LOCATIONS OF WORK <br />1. Accompanying this specification is an area map listing area sites which are categorized by parks, <br />medians, right-of-ways, easements, and swales. By submitting a bid, the bidder certifies that he/she <br />is familiar with the sites and the proposed scope of work, prior to submitting a bid. The City <br />reserves the right to remove specific locations on a temporary or permanent basis, as deemed <br />appropriate. The City also reserves the right to award the locations to multiple bidders to attain the <br />best possible service and price. <br />C. EQUIPMENT <br />1. All equipment shall be maintained in an efficient and safe operating condition while performing <br />work under the contract. Equipment shall have all proper safety devices required by law, properly <br />maintained and in use at all times. If equipment does not contain proper safety devices and/or is <br />being operated in an unsafe manner, the City may direct the contractor to remove such equipment <br />and/or the operator until the deficiency is corrected to the satisfaction of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach. The contractor shall be solely responsible and liable for injury to persons, and/or property <br />damage caused by operation of the equipment. All equipment will be inspected and evaluated by <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach, prior to award of this bid. <br />A. Special equipment required (in addition to Standard Maintenance Equipment). <br />The contractor must own the following equipment: <br />* One hydraulic bucket -truck with a reach capacity of no less than 50 <br />feet <br />* One brush chipper. <br />
