If the Contractor intends to use sub -contractors to perform any work on this contract, these sub- <br />contractors are subject to approval by City. <br />2. Maintenance as defined for bid purposes shall include: Litter, trash, and debris removal and <br />disposal; mowing; edging; hedge trimming; selective tree trimming; raking; sweeping; weeding, <br />weedeating, herbicide applications, fertilization, insect control, irrigation system adjustment and <br />repair, and Date Palm and Coconut Palm maintenance. <br />H. SPECIAL CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS <br />1. The President/Chief Operating Officer of the contracting firm must be available to attend <br />meetings with the City and/or it's designee within 24 hours of notification. <br />2. For purposes of communicating the City's requirements, an English speaking superintendent <br />must be available at all times when work is being accomplished. <br />3. All of the contractor's employees must wear bright orange shirts that identify the company name, <br />at all times. <br />4. Maintenance of traffic must conform to the current edition of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT) Roadway and Traffic Design Standards Indexes (600 Series), the Standard <br />Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and the Manuals on Uniform Traffic Control <br />Devices, as a minimum criteria.. <br />5. The contractor, or an employee of the contractor approved by the City, must be on 24 hour <br />call, at all times, for emergency purposes. <br />6. The contractor, on an immediate and first priority basis, shall be available to the City to clear <br />roadways or access areas in the event of an Act of God (ie. storm, tornado, or hurricane) or an <br />auto accident that causes a tree to fall and block a roadway or pedestrian area, or any other <br />emergency deemed by the City Manager. <br />7. The contractor shall be available to meet with all public utilities to locate all irrigation and <br />hydraulic lines prior to excavation by the utility company.
