As such, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposals No. 02 -04 -01
Atlantic Boulevard Turf Block Project. This project will provide additional parking on the street,
which will eventually be metered for use by residents and patrons of the retail shops. Four (4)
prospective bidders requested and received the bid documents, with two (2) responding. Pios & Sons
Enterprises, Inc., with a base bid of One Hundred Eighty Six Thousand Dollars ($186,000.00), has
been deemed the most responsive, responsible low bidder.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The landscaping and irrigation aspects of this project will be done by existing contracts, while the cut
in the wall and driveway for the Golden Strand will be done in this contract. (Please note that the
Golden Strand entrance is being done pursuant to a settlement agreement with the title company).
Mr. Raanan Katz had committed to providing Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) towards this
project, however, despite a written commitment and deadline, to date that money has not been
received. Mr. Katz has assured me verbally that we would have the funds, once the project
commenced.
CJR/pw
Atlantic BI%•d Turf Block Agcnda Memo
