RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 4 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION Off' THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING PERMISSION FROM MIAMI - <br />DADE COUNTY FOR USE OF A SMALL PORTION OF THE RIGHT -OF- <br />WAY AT THE NORTHERN EDGE OF HAULOVER PARK FOR <br />PLACEMENT OF A CITY ENTRANCE SIGN; DIRECTING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO TRANSMIT THIS RESOLUTION TO MIANVII -DADE COUNTY <br />FOR APPROVAL BY THE COUNTY COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to install an entrance sign welcoming <br />people to the City at the northern edge of Haulover Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach would like to use a small portion of the Miami - <br />Dade County right -of -way along the eastern side of Collins Avenue at the northern end of Haulover <br />Park, for a City entranceway sign; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is requesting permission from Miami -Dade <br />County for use of a small portion of right -of -way for a City entrance sign. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Authority to Request Permission from Miami -Dade County. The City Manager is <br />authorized to request permission from Miami -Dade County for use of a portion of the County's <br />right -of -way along the eastern side of Collins Avenue at the northern edge of Haulover Park, for a <br />City Entrance Sign. <br />Section 2. Direction to the Cites. The City Clerk is directed to transmit this Resolution to <br />Miami -Dade County seeking approval by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Section 3.
