Main St. Suite #110 <br />Harrisonburg, VA 22801 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Buracker, <br /> <br />Members of the faculty here at the University of Texas at San Antonio have viewed the video tape <br />"Beyond the Badge" and have been most impressed with this exceptional exploration of <br />Community Oriented Policing. At least three faculty members are now routinely using this video <br />tape in their classes. Additionally, our faculty has provided a copy of "Beyond the Badge" to the <br />San Antonio Police Department who have informed us that they were sufficiently impressed that <br />they promptly included this video in their advanced officer training. <br /> <br />More recently, this office hosted a University Professor from Australia. Among his principle <br />,,," interests were the Community Oriented Policing efforts of the San Antonio Police Department. <br />While here he viewed "Beyond the Badge" and was very impressed, asking if he could obtain a <br />copy for use in Australia. He was most impressed with the implementation process outlined in <br />the video, for this identified what is really necessary to qualify as a city that is actually practicing <br />Community Oriented Policing and is not merely masquerading as a COP city.
