Cary Anomey <br />Jane Hines, Acting City Clerk <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution entering into an agreement <br />with Calvin, Giordano and Associates, Inc. ( "Calvin, Giordano ") for the Capital Improvement <br />Program Management portion of the General Municipal Services Contract. <br />REASONS <br />The City is in need of General Municipal Contract Services, which may consist of Planning and <br />Zoning activities, engineering, traffic engineering, landscape architecture, geographic information <br />systems and capital improvement program management, for various projects to be undertaken at the <br />present and in the future. As such, we solicited prospective consultants through the issuance and <br />advertisement of Request for Qualifications No. 02-11 -0 1. Sealed RFQ's were opened on 12/20/02, <br />and Calvin, Giordano, the sole respondee, was subsequently qualified. <br />Calvin, Giordano has submitted a proposal, in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($100,000.00), for Capital Improvement Management services. Their proposal is quite <br />comprehensive and includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as developing a schedule for the overall <br />program; coordinating all outside consultants involved in the program, providing bidding services of <br />all projects; and providing all administrative services required to maintain the program. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br />Though Calvin, Giordano has been qualified to provide General Municipal Contract Services to the <br />City, this particular contract exceeds Ten Thousand Dollars (S 10,000.00) and therefore, necessitates <br />Commission approval in accordance with our procurement procedures. <br />CJR/p%v <br />Cap Improv Mgmt Agmn Agenda Memo <br />
