AMENDMENT NO.1 TO LANDSCAPING CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND VILA & SON LANDSCAPING CORP. DATED MAY 29, 2002 TO ADD LANDSCAPING & IRRIGATION OF N.E. 159TH STREET WHEREAS, the Vila & Son Landscaping Corp. was hired by the City to perform landscaping and improvements under the referenced contract for Landscaping and irrigation of N.E. 159' Street, within the City and approved by Resolution No. 2002 -442; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Paragraph 2 — Additional Services, of the referenced contract, the City requests additional work to be performed for landscaping and irrigation of N.E. 159h Street, for which we have received a proposal from Vila & Son in the amount of $181,526.40 based on last year's item prices; WHEREAS, the City, being satisfied with the performance and quality of workmanship of Vila & Son, wishes to contract with Vila & Son Landscaping Corp., to perform this additional work; NOW THEREFORE, in accordance with the terms of Paragraph 2 and Contractor's proposal in the amount of $181,526.40, and the City hereby amends the contract as follows: 1. Additional service to be performed landscape and install irrigation for NE 159'h Street for the additional cost of $181,526.40. Payments to be made monthly as invoiced. 2. The original contract amount is hereby increased by One Hundred Eighty -One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty -Six and 40/100 Dollars ($181,526.40) to One Million Seventy -Three Thousand Three Hundred Ninety -Two and 40/100 ($1,073,392.40). 3.
