<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-.5.3.<2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION 0 F THE CITY COMMISSION 0 F THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN <br />ENGINEERING CONSULTANT AGREEMENT BY AND <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND MARLIN <br />ENGINEERING, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED <br />TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY- <br />THREE DOLLARS AND SIXTY-ONE CENTS ($128,573.61), <br />ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A", FOR THE DESIGN <br />WORK ON THE SUNNY ISLES BOULEV ARD/SR826 TRAFFIC <br />CALMING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION AS MAY BE <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to do roadway improvements on <br />Sunny Isles BoulevardlSR826 for a traffic calming project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with that effort the City wishes to enter into an Engineering <br />Consultant Agreement with Marlin Engineering, Inc., in an amount of $128,573.61, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "A", to provide advise and assistance with roadway improvements with respect <br />to the redevelopment of Sunny Isles BoulevardlSR826; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Marlin Engineering, Inc. has been "qualified" by the City Commission to <br />perform engineering services for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Engineering Consultant Agreement. The Engineering Consultant <br />Agreement by and between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and Marlin Engineering, Inc., for <br />design work on the Sunny Isles BoulevardlSR826 Traffic Calming Project, in an amount of <br />$128,573.61, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be and the same, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms ofthe Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
