Russo, City Manager at <br /> DATE: December 18, 2003 <br /> RE: ATLANTIC ISLES DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AGREEMENT <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution approving an <br /> agreement with Tenex Enterprises, Inc. ("Tenex") for Atlantic Isles drainage improvements. <br /> REASONS <br /> The City is in need of drainage improvements for the Atlantic Isles area to complete the roadway <br /> improvements included in the Roadway and Resident Parking Improvements Agreement. <br /> Earlier this year the City of Weston awarded a contract for like services to Tenex, as the most <br /> responsive,responsible bidder. Staff recommends that the City piggyback that contract and enter <br /> into an agreement for professional services with Tenex, under the same terms and unit pricing as <br /> Weston Bid No. 2003-01. <br /> Tenex has submitted a proposal for services, attached hereto as Exhibit "A," in the amount of <br /> Fifty-One Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($51,300.00). <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> Piggybacking off of the Weston contract benefits the City in cost and time. It excludes us from <br /> having to prepare and issue a formal bid for services, while ensuring we receive competitive <br /> pricing and services.
