RESOLUTION NO. 200~t..{O A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE WEITZ COMPANY TO REPAIR THE DRAINAGE IN THE GOLDEN STRAND PARKING AREA ADJACENT TO THE CITY HALL SITE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND THE WEITZ CO. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($60,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND EFFECTUATE SMD CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City issued an RFQ No. 01-12-02 for the construction management services for City Hall and accessory structure(s) related to City Hall as well as any other generalized construction management services that may be requested by the City; and ' WHEREAS, the Weitz Company was awarded the contract and is qualified to do other generalize construction management services for the City; and WHEREAS, the wishes to contract with the Weitz Company in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00 dollars, for the drainage repair in the Golden Strand parking area adjacent to the City Hall site NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Work. That the City approves the Weitz Company qualified to do generalize construction management services for the City and to repair the drainage in the Golden Shand parking area. Section 2. Approval of Contract Amount. The contract between the Weitz Company and the City of Sunny Isles Beach in an amount not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) for the drainage repair to the Golden Strand parking area adjacent to the City Hall site, is hereby approved.. Section 3. City Manager Authorized to Execute. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contract and to take whatever action is required to effectuate the terms and conditions of the contract. Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution is effective upon passage.
