<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - ~4l::, <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF <br />TWO NEW COMMUNITY SHUTTLE BUSES FROM ATLANTIC BUS <br />SALES, PIGGY-BACKING OFF FROM THE CITY OF OLDSMAR, <br />FLORIDA CONTRACT (BID NO. B-04-06), IN AN AMOUNT OF ONE <br />HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY-SIX <br />DOLLARS ($166,486.00), TO BE PAID WITH FUNDS PROVIDED TO <br />THE CITY BY THE PEOPLE'S TRANSPORTATION PLAN 1/2% <br />SURTAX; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to purchase two new community <br />shuttle buses for expanded bus routes to serve the residents and tourists of Sunny Isles Beach; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase two Shuttle Buses, piggy-backing off from the <br />City of Oldsmar, Florida, Contract (Bid No. B-04-06), and has received a proposal from Atlantic <br />Bus Sales, in an amount of $83,243.00 for each bus, for a total amount of $166,486.00, to be paid <br />for with funds provided to the City by the People's Transportation Plan 1/2% Surtax. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to <br />purchase the two Shuttle Buses from Atlantic Bus Sales, piggy-backing off from the City of <br />Oldsmar, Florida, Contract (Bid No. B-04-06), in an amount of $166,486.00, to be paid for with <br />funds provided to the City by the People's Transportation Plan 1/2% Surtax, and do all things <br />necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
