<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - ~c <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PARKING <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND <br />RS VALET PARKING SYSTEMS, FOR THE OPERATION OF THE <br />PIER PARK PARKING LOT, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT AND DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE <br />THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of operation of the Pier Park <br />parking lot for the benefit and welfare of its citizens and visitors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the operation of the Pier Park parking lot to <br />Newport Resort Association, and found that Newport was not keeping the Park open seven days a <br />week; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RS Valet Parking Systems provided a proposal to the City of $10.50 per <br />man hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RS Valet Parking Systems will collect all revenue for the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach, provide courteous and uniformed valet attendants trained and disciplined in the <br />performance of their duties, have an on-site Valet Parking Manager in charge of the complete <br />parking operation, and will be responsible for handling all complaints from guests in a courteous <br />and effective manner, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Parking Agreement. The Parking Agreement by and between the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach and RV Valet Parking Systems, for the operation of Pier Park parking lot, <br />in an amount of $10.50 per man hour, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute <br />the Parking Agreement and do all things necessary to effectuate this Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
